CHARLOTTE Hope led the way with a gold medal as Links Karate Kai members competed at the UK Open Championships, in Birmingham.
The day began with Sam Day winning silver in the Kata and Links winning three out of the four team Kumite events they entered (the other being silver).
In the individual Kumite, the gold rush was started in spectacular style by novice Hope and followed up by Emily Appleby, Zak Coates, Loren Cooke (x2), Rhian Duffy and Jake Pickering.
Silvers were won by Rhian Duffy, Mitchell Thorpe and Fenella Stuart, while Lloyd Birch, Sam Day and Maisie Raymond took bronze medals.
