Double blow for Turner’s troops

FC CLACTON have suffered two more setbacks in their quest to climb off the foot of the table.

The Seasiders were two-up in eight minutes at Diss on Saturday – only to lose 3-2.

They looked on course for their first Thurlow Nunn League premier division victory since November when Jake Clowsley gave them a dream start and Aaron Condon made it 2-0.

However, things turned sour when the hosts pulled one back.

A rocket long-range effort got them back on level terms and the winner duly followed six minutes later.

Clacton lost 4-1 at home to Hadleigh United on Tuesday.

After falling behind, Condon fired them back on level terms but the visitors stepped up a gear and ran out comfortable winners.

Clacton visit Kirkley and Pakefield on Saturday.
