Defiant Ray starts looking to future
3:53pm Thursday 14th February 2013 in Sport By Matt Plummer
FC CLACTON boss Ray Turner already has one eye on next season.
The Seasiders manager insists he will never wave the white flag in terms of trying to avoid relegation this season.
But with his side rock bottom of the Thurlow Nunn League premier division and facing a huge task to reach safety, Turner says it will be a relief to start afresh in the summer.
“We won’t give up and will keep fighting until the last kick of the last game,” he said defiantly.
“But there’s a big part of me that is already looking forward to getting this season over with, so we can draw a line under it and start afresh.
“We can get a good pre-season under our belts and I’m certain we’ll be in a much stronger and healthier position by then.”
