Panthers begin year with an eye-catching win

NOMADS Panthers started the year in imperious style, with a convincing 7-3 victory over Clacton and District Table Tennis League division one title rivals Brotherhood A.

The Panthers brought out their big guns and John Monk obliged with a maximum, although it was a close 11-8 in the fifth against Greg Green.

Green took two for Brotherhood, including a fine win over James Denyer, while Alan Burgess took their third point by defeating Colin Webber.

The Panthers now lead the division by an impressive 16 points.
