Regent are on the crest of a wave
1:37pm Thursday 3rd January 2013 in Sport By Matt Plummer
BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent continued their explosive Thurlow Nunn League form by romping to a 6-0 victory at Long Melford, on Saturday.
It was their seventh straight win and an emphatic score that hoisted them to fourth in division one.
“It was another great result but the performance was even more pleasing,” said the Regent boss.
“We played some fantastic football, especially in the second half, kept another clean sheet and there were outstanding displays from the likes of Phil Kelly and Ricky Griggs.
“We’re now just a point off third place, with a game in hand, which is very impressive when you consider the poor start we made.
“Full credit to the lads because their hard work in training appears to be paying off.”
