Return – Beverley Knight Return – Beverley Knight

YOU could still be in with a chance of a pass to one of the summer’s hottest events as V Festival organisers have announced extra tickets will go on sale on Friday.

As well as the extra ticket release, they’ve a host of additional names for the star-studded bill, including Gossip, rapper Wretch 32, soul and R&B songstress Beverley Knight and the Feeling.

Organisers have also got R&B trio-of-the-moment StooShe confirmed for the weekend, as well as Chingford’s finest the Rifles, Rita Ora, chilled-out sounds from Newton Faulkner, Childish Gambino, Sub Focus, Cover Drive and Angel.

The additions are excited to be in the line-up. Beverley Knight says: “It has been a while, so I am chuffed to be back on stage at V.

“I have spent the last few years enjoying all the action as a punter. This year it’s time to do what I do best – and that’s rocking a crowd!”

Wretch 32 says: “I’m buzzing to be back at V this year.

“Last year was big, and I’ll be looking to top it this year, by performing my new tracks to the crowd.

“I will also be looking to get a little meet with Nicki Minaj – if I'm lucky.’’ They’ll join the top bill, which has Stone Roses, the Killers, Nicki Minaj, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Tom Jones, Snow Patrol and Ed Sheeran lined up for the weekend.

Additional tickets go on sale at 9am Friday and are available from www.vfestival.com, where official outlets are listed. The festival takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, on August 18 and 19.
