A MAN wanted in connection with a series of alleged assault in south Essex is being hunted by police.

James Gray, 22, who is from the Tilbury area, has failed to answer police bail and appear in court.

Gray was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following an incident at Chicago’s at Basildon’s Festival Leisure Park on Christmas Eve last year. He is alleged to have attacked a security guard.

He was released on bail, but failed to return and answer the charge.

Gray is also wanted for failing to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on March 15 this year. He was due to face another charge of grievous bodily harm in connection with an alleged attack in Stanford-le-Hope on January 8 last year.

He is also wanted in connection with an assault at East Tilbury on June 17 this year, in which a woman was kicked and punched in the head and face.

Gray is 5ft 9ins tall, stocky and has short, brown, straight hair.
