FIVE Thurrock firefighters have been presented with long service medals.
Stephen Hart, from Orsett Fire Station, Kevin Hercock, from the Corringham Station, and Simon Wade, Graeme Smith and Richard Flower, from the Grays Station, have all served 20 years with Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.
Deputy chief fire officer Adam Eckley said: “Officers like these are the backbone of Essex County Fire and Rescue Service, they serve with pride and dedication.
“They have given 20 years of exemplary service and in that time have developed a wealth of knowledge and experience which they can bring to bear in protecting and serving communities.”
