WEBSITES operated by the Newsquest Media Group are growing fast.
The group's July-December 2011 audit reveals a monthly average of 8,306,468 unique visitors accessing sites like this one. That’s an annual growth of 11.5 per cent.
Newsquest operates 158 local media sites, linked to our newspapers, across the UK.
The new figures confirm Newsquest’s position as one of the most visited networks of any UK news publisher, giving local and national news updates around the clock and providing a massive audience for online advertisers.
According to Comscore, in January 2012 the Newsquest sites were the UK’s fourth most visited in the news/information category after the Mail Online, Guardian and Telegraph and ahead of any other regional newspaper group.
More people are now getting news and information from our websites on the move, on smart phones and tablets. This accounts for 18.5 per cent of use.
