THREE friends faced the clippers together to Brave the Shave and raise money for Basildon Hospital’s Macmillan Team.
Christine Warner, Cathy Crouch and Lisa Banes became friends working in the restaurant at Basildon Hospital and a conversation about fundraising led to the three of them agreeing to brave the shave for Macmillan.
With family, friends and colleagues watching, all three took it in turns to face healthcare assistant Harriet Andrews, who was armed with a pair of hair clippers.
Cathy Crouch, restaurant service manager, said: “I can’t remember whose idea it was but all three of us agreed to do it together.
“It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.
“My head feels really light now.”
