A 42-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested following two men being assaulted in Westcliff.
The incident happened in Argyll Road, in Westcliff, on Friday at 6.25pm.
Police attended the scene where they found a man in his 70s with an eye injury and a man in his 50s with a head injury.
They were both taken to hospital.
A police spokesman said: "A 42 year-old man from Westcliff has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and common assault.
"He has been taken to Southend police station where he remains in custody."
