A COMMUNITY-spirited ten-year-old has raised more than £200 for Comic Relief with a cake sale.
Billy Walsh, who lives in Langdon Hills, made the cakes with his mum and sold them at two sales over the course of a week.
Billy, who attends Sunnymede Junior School, in Billericay, was only hoping to raise £50, but smashed this with a total of £201.
His mum, Dawn, said: “We made about 10 different cakes over the two sales, including lemon drizzle, chocolate brownies, sausage rolls and a Victoria sponge.
“He ordered the cake sale pack himself from Comic Relief and then came down to tell me. I think he has seen it on TV and it touched him so he wanted to do something.”
