A man was threatened with a knife and punched and kicked in a robbery.
A 26-year-old man, from Shoebury, was walking down an alleyway between Prittlewell Street and Guildford Road when he was approached by two men at around 11am on Thursday, January 19.
They then punched him in the side of the head and held a knife against his neck before taking his gold ring and wallet, including a two-figure sum of cash.
Before running away, they punched and kicked the victim several times, causing him to fall to the floor.
He was taken to hospital for his injuries and he was discharged later that day.
Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to.
The man pictured is described as a black man, around 5ft 10ins tall with short, shaved black hair and side burns. He wore black tracksuit bottoms, which were elasticated at the bottom, black and white trainers and had a two inch scar below his right eye.
The other suspect has been described as a black man, 6ft 2ins tall, of a skinny build and had short curly black hair and a goatee-style beard. He wore a navy coloured hooded jumper, black fitted jeans and green and grey Nike trainers.
