RESIDENTS at a care home were made to feel extra special on Valentine’s Day when staff members handed out roses.

Staff at Anisha Grange Care Home in Billericay, wanted to spread the love on Valentine’s Day so gave out wooden roses to each of their 70 residents as an acknowledgement of how much they mean to them.

Resident Patricia Mann, 95 said: “It was a wonderful surprise to receive a rose, I didn’t expect it, it was out of the blue and very delightful.”

Leader at Sue Edwards from the care home added: “We had great fun presenting our residents with roses. It was nice to remind them that even though they have a loving family that we are their family too and are there for them.”

“We think our residents really appreciated the gesture and the roses will make a nice keep sake and reminder of the activity.”
