A man in his 50s suffered serious spinal injuries after he was involved in a crash with a bus.
The crash, between a blue double decker and a pedestrian, happened at about 5.05pm yesterday in Station Road, Westliff, outside the railway station.
The pedestrian, a 53-year-old man from the North London area, suffered serious spinal injuries and was taken to Southend Hospital for treatment.
He was later moved to Queen’s Hospital in Romford where he remains.
