FOR the 20,000 Southend fans who made their way to Wembley for the League Two play-off final, agony turned to ecstasy in the most dramatic way possible.
Blues were trailing 1-0 in the final seconds of extra time against Wycombe, and many fans had already headed for the exits, when Joe Pigott's last-gasp equaliser took the match to penalties.
The goal prompted delirium from the Southend fans inside the stadium, with those who had made a premature getaway sprinting back along Wembley Way to get back to their seats.
And there was better to come as goalkeeper Daniel Bentley made himself the hero as Blues won on penalties and sealed promotion to League One.
If you were one of the thousands of fans at Wembley a year ago on that memorable day, you could well spot yourself in our gallery of pictures from the day.
