Young people at Ormiston Park Academy scooped a £1000 first prize for their award-winning video on young people’s mental health. The seven-strong group of year ten students were “elated” after winning a charity project as part of their Citizenship studies. The six week project required students to explore how funding could help the community, for which they produced a video exploring how young people experience mental health problems. The prize money will go towards creating a sensory garden at the Grays branch of ‘MIND’. Winning student Emily Walker, 15, from Aveley, said: "To win £1000 for MIND has been a huge pleasure. I am extremely proud of my team and the work we produced. I look forward to seeing how the money will help our charity."
