Police are investigating a robbery at the Co-op store at Linden Way in Canvey.

At around 9pm on Saturday, April 25, two men are reported to have entered the shop armed with a knife, and demanded money from the till.

The men fled in the direction of the lake with a handful of scratch cards and a cashier’s mobile phone. No one was injured but the staff were left shaken by what happened. The suspects are described as white, of slim to medium build and aged in their early 20s. They were both wearing tracksuits and had their faces covered by dark coloured scarves. They spoke with local accents.
