RESIDENTS are invited to take part in a Walking for Health training course.

Walking for Health is part of England’s largest network of health walk schemes, helping all kinds of people to lead a more active lifestyle. Walks are led by friendly, knowledgeable people, specially trained for the job.

A one-day course is being held on Friday, October 3 for people who would like to become volunteer walk leaders for the Thurrock & Basildon Walking for Health scheme.

It begins at 9.20am and takes place at Davy Down Country Park, Stifford Pumping Station, Back Lane, North Stifford, Grays.

Volunteer walk leaders help local people to get active and healthy and show that walking can make a big difference to their lives.
