A MAN accused of breaking into a town hall and having a poo has denied the charge.
Thomas Devers appeared at Colchester Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with burglary with intent to steal at Clacton Town Hall.
A security guard called police on May 10 at about 12.45am after finding an window open at the Station Road premises.
Devers, of High Street, Clacton, denies breaking into the building, where human waste was found on paperwork in and around the electoral ballot office.
The 26-year-old will next appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court in October and has been ordered to steer clear of Clacton Town Hall.
