POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman suffered a swollen lip when she was attacked in the street.

The victim was assaulted by a man and woman during an altercation in Burrs Road in Clacton on February 7.

Details have only just been released by the police.

A spokesman said: "The victim sustained a swollen lip during the incident, which took place shortly after 9am on Burrs Road.

"Due to the time of day there were a number of passing motorists who may have witnessed the incident and police are particularly keen to speak to a women who stopped to help the victim."
