A DRIVER has been reported for careless driving following a three-vehicle collision on the A120.
Braintree was in gridlock after police closed a stretch of the A120 between Marks Farm and Bradwell.
A woman was treated after suffering with neck and abdominal pain.
She was taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford for further care.
Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police were called to the collision at about 4.30pm on Wednesday evening.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "It involved two cars and a van on the road between the Marks Farm roundabout going towards Colchester.
"The damage to the vehicles blocked the road so it was shut for a number of hours. It reopened shortly before 8.30pm.
"One driver was reported for careless driving. Nobody suffered serious injuries."
Queues formed back to the Coggeshall Bypass, and as far as Felsted on the A120, while there is also heavy traffic around Braintree town.
