A 67-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and possessing a firearm after an incident in Weeley yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to an address in the village at around 3pm following reports that a man had been seen with a firearm.
A police spokesman said: "Police ground units and the police helicopter carried out a search of the Clacton area and a 67-year-old man from Clacton was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, possessing a firearm and drink driving.
"He remains in custody this morning."
