SPECTACULAR evening displays will take place at this year’s Clacton Airshow for the first time.
Details have been released about the plans to thrill flight fans.
This year’s show will feature an extra display slot at 8pm in an effort to attract bigger crowds and take the event to new heights.
The Twister Duo, Aerosparx and Brendan O’Brien’s OTTO helicopter have all been lined up to perform as the sun goes down.
Tanya Ferguson, Tendring Council tourism and events boss, said: “There will be people who cannot make it during the airshow days on who will want to come along and enjoy the fun after work, and we also want to extend the activity into the evening for those staying over.
“We will see how it goes and how it is received - they could become a regular part of the programme.”
Aerosparx is a new aerobatic team which uses Grob109 motor gliders.
World-renowned pilots Guy Westgate and Tim Dews show off their formation flying with spectacular wing tip pyrotechnics.
The Twister Aerobatics Team also has wing tip pyrotechnics to light up the evening gloom.
The air show will run on August 25 and 26.
