PUPILS swapped their uniform for red clothes to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
Purleigh Primary School in Pump Lane, Purleigh, decided to support the charity after a vote by the school council.
They took part in the Wear it, Beat it fundraising day on Friday when every child paid 50p to wear red.
Teacher Jenny Owen said: “Year 6 also held a cake sale that generated even more funds to go towards helping people with heart problems.
“Some of our children have first-hand experience of family members who have needed help due to heart problems which made the children's generosity even more important.”
