A STROKE survivor from Maldon has called on people to support a charity’s fundraising initiative.
Diana Daniels, of Washington Close, had a stroke in March 2011 aged 65, which left her with right-sided weakness and little speech.
Before her stroke, she would make clothes, model in clay and make jewellery, but this became almost impossible when she fell ill.
She began to use a computer and started designing greeting cards and calendars with help from the Stroke Association.
Now the 69-year-old is encouraging people to get behind their Give a Hand campaign, which aims to help people across the UK complete an everyday activity using the hand they wouldn’t normally use.
