The parents of two young friends killed in a head-on crash are to ask prosecutors to look again after its case against a female passenger was dropped due to insufficient evidence.

Corran ‘Coz’ Powell, 21, and James Simmons, 18, died after David Bradley’s Ford Fiesta and Coz’s Volkswagen Polo crashed in Braintree Road, Gosfield, on December 7.

James, a back-seat passenger in the Polo, died at the scene and Coz died days later after he was put in a medically- induced coma.

Mr Bradley, 30, of Beckers Green Road, Braintree, also died at the scene.

A female passenger, 23, who was travelling in the Fiesta, was arrested in March on suspicion of aiding and
abetting causing death by dangerous driving and other driving offences.

Last Thursday, Coz and James’s families were told the case against the woman had been dropped by the
Crown Prosecution Service due to insufficient evidence.
