THE approach t o Harwich’s Radar Tower has been given a spring clean.
Harwich Society’s footpath group and the 4th Dovercourt Sea Scouts cleared the overgrown entrance to the tower in Barrack Lane.
The Radar Tower is one of the society’s visitor attractions and was the first purpose built radar tower in the world.
Harwich Society chairman Colin Farnell said: “The 4th Dovercourt Sea Scouts have a remarkable community spirit and regularly work alongside the Harwich Society on local community projects.”
The Harwich Society’s visitor attractions will open for the 2015 season at the beginning of May.
