Two care homes have won awards for being best recommended homes in the region.
Firstlings in The Street, Heybridge, has been named the top recommended care home in the East of England for the second year running.
Firstlings came first out of 1,825 homes in the East of England.
St Peter’s Court, in Spital Road, Maldon, came third in the East of England.
The top twenty homes in the East of England received an award from a leading guide to care homes, carehome.co.uk
The award was based on the home’s recommendations from their residents, plus friends and relatives of residents.
Firstlings manager Tina Bently said: “We are overwhelmed at winning this award again.
“It means so much to us."
