A PROJECT to renovate a listed pub has been supported by Manningtree town councillors.
The Red Lion in South Street was built in 1605, is grade two listed and sits in a conservation area.
The owner, Tom West, has now put forward plans to Tendring Council to move the toilets, create a new bar area and removing partitian walls.
Manningtree Town Council voted to support the application.
Tendring Council has the final say on the plans.
