A TEENAGE boy has been charged in connection with an aggravated burglary in Harwich in which a man was threatened with a firearm.

The incident happened at a house in West Street at about 6.30pm on Saturday, September 27.

Two men, believed to be armed with a firearm, followed the victim in to the address and demanded money. They took a small amount of cash. No one was injured.

A 17-year-old boy of no fixed address has now been charged with aggravated burglary, having an imitation firearm to commit an indictable offence, robbery in Harwich on July 14, two counts of threatening people with a samurai sword in Harwich on August 4 and affray in Harwich, also on August 4.

He was detained in police custody to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today, October 22.
