A beer festival was the toast of the town as hundreds of ale lovers packed into Witham’s public hall.
Organiser Graham Green said: “It went very well, we were very busy. We had nearly 280 in on the first day and the first beer ran out at about 9pm.
“That was the Woolpack’s ‘No Name’ beer, which was the first to sell out last year as well.
“The money just goes straight back into the hall so the more the merrier."
