Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision which has left a woman in hospital with life threatening injuries.
An HGV was in collision with a 33-year-old pedestrian who had just got out of a black Vauxhall Zafira car in Foxhall Road, Southminster.
The woman, who lives locally, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.
Her injuries are described as life threatening.
The collision was at about 10.30am today.
Essex Police want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen the Vauxhall Zafira parked at the side of the road today or in the days or weeks previous.
