HUNDREDS of kids took over a soccer field for a day of inflatable frolics.
A Children’s Fun Day was held at Harwich and Parkeston Football Club’s Royal Oak ground on Saturday where there were bouncy castles, bungee runs and swings.
Also on offer were gladiator podiums for youngsters to duke it out.
Organisers are hoping to arrange something similar next year, as the event proved such a hit with children and parents alike.
Spokesman Mick Wildney said: “The whole day went really well and I think we had between 150 and 200 kids down enjoying themselves.
“It was arranged to give the children something to do during their summer holidays because it can be tough to fill the six weeks with what is on offer in the town.
“This was the first year we have organised it but I would love to do it again next year.”
