A WOMAN is to face trial accused of robbing a Brightlingsea bank.
Kelly Greer denied a charge of robbery at Barclays Bank in the town when she appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court yesterday.
The 29-year-old, of Sydney Street, Brightlingsea, is accused of stealing £790 from the bank on May 24 this year. She has admitted another charge of posessing a knife in Colne Road, Brightlingsea, on the same date.
Her trial is expected to start on September 20.
A man has admitted the bank robbery and will be sentenced at the end of Greer's trial.
Keith Palfreman, 32, from Bentley Avenue, Jaywick, has also admitted a charge of burglary at a house in Francis Street, Brightlingsea, on May 4.
They were both remanded in custody. There was no application for bail.
