Troubled surgery back in spotlight

HEALTH bosses are due to reconsider how to deal with a troubled surgery in Jaywick.
The NHS Trust's board will be looking at its contract with Green Elms health practice at its next meeting.
Notes on the agenda say there are “significant concerns” about patient safety.
The GP surgery, which serves around 6,000 people, was formally branded "a challenged practice" in February.
Notes given to the board say: “During the past 18 months, ChilversMcCrea has been issued with six remedial and two breach notices.
“The PCT has significant concerns relating to this contract and patient safety and volume of remedial and breach notices issued.
“Resolving the issues remains a top priority for the commissioning team.”
The NHS North East Essex board will meet on Tuesday at Colchester Primary Care Centre in Turner Road, Colchester.
