A NEW service has been introduced to help beat the queues at leisure facilities in Tendring.
Tendring Council said all pre-paid members and booking card holders will now be able to check the availability of activities online and then book them up to seven days in advance.
This includes activities such as badminton, tennis, table tennis, aerobic and fitness classes and aquacise classes.
Mike Carran, the council's assistant head of leisure, said: “By taking bookings online it means that people can book up 24 hours a day and at their own convenience.
“Those with an appropriate membership package or booking card will no longer have to wait in a queue at reception but will be able to go through by swiping their card.”
To register for the service ask for login details at one of the authority's leisure centres.
