W.I: THERE was no meeting in January, our next meeting is February 5 at the Village Hall. This is our sixth birthday party which we are celebrating with a cheese and wine party and entertainment from Andy Craven with Let's Rock'. Guests and new members will be very welcome.

History Society: AT the meeting on January 10, will held our AGM then were given an illustrated talk on his landyrally 2007' when he raised nearly £2,000 for Clacton Stroke Association. Our next meeting is on February 14 at the new time of 8pm when David Porter will give a talk on old pharmacy. We meet at the village hall, visitors welcome.

W.I: LAST month we enjoyed our Christmas party in the hall. We were wonderfully entertained by two of the Ramblers on guitar and banjo, who sang old favourites and told us a few ditties. The festive spirit was in abundance, we sang, ate, drank and were merry! Our next meeting is on February 5, 8pm in the village hall. This will be our sixth birthday party with cheese and wine and entertainment by Andy Craven with Lets Rock'.
