A MOTORIST had a rock thrown at her car from a bridge above the A120.
The 60-year-old woman was driving the BMW X5 towards Clacton close to Fox Street, Ardleigh, at 10.15am on Monday.
As she passed underneath a bridge, an object, believed to be a large stone - struck the windscreen and caused damage.
The drive spotted three or four youth on the bridge at the time.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to call the Stanway roads policing unit on 101 or report online at essex.police.uk/do-it-online.
