THE crowd-pulling Battle of Britain Memorial Fight could be in doubt for next week's Clacton Airshow after it was grounded.
The memorial flight is due to fly on both days of the show.
Tendring Council spokesman Nigel Brown said the council has been made aware of potential mechanical issues with the flight by Clacton Airshow’s flying director.
“There is a possibility that it could affect the appearance of the BBMF at the event next week and we are waiting for further information over the coming days,” he said.
“However, the BBF display is one of 14 displays on Thursday and one of 12 on Friday so we have a very packed and exciting programme lined-up for flight fans.
“We totally understand that advice is being taken if there is a mechanical issue and it is only right and proper to do so as the safety of all is paramount at these events.”
