Join now - the new unit replaces one in Brightlingsea
A NEW Army cadets group is being launched for teenagers in Walton.
The unit is aimed at 12-18-year-olds and replaces one which closed in Brightlingsea last month.
An open evening takes place at Walton community centre, in Standley Road, on Wednesday, March 22, from 7.30pm.
Detachment commander Sgt Stephen Robertson said: "Potential cadets can come along with their parents and see what we do.
"There are lots of opportunities to do lots of different things such as shooting, sports, Duke of Edinburgh, first aid and navigation."
The unit will meet on Wednesdays from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
