A THIRD block of luxury seafront flats has been given the green light in Jaywick.
The latest plans for seven flats on Sea Pink Way come after two more blocks on nearby Brooklands were given the green light in December.
All three developments have come from the same developer - Southend-based APS Design Associates.
The latest proposals are in a high-risk flood zone but are designed with parking on the ground floor and living accommodation upstairs.
A burnt-out building will be bulldozed to make way for the development, which is split between two and three storeys.
Tendring Council hopes the new flats will help boost the area.
Housing boss Paul Honeywood said: “The council’s planning committee approved the two schemes for a total of 28 flats before Christmas and now we have another one for seven more properties in the bag.
“They are all for the same developer who is committed to putting up some of the private investment needed to help us regenerate the area.
“Things are moving very positively in the right direction and we are confident this will be the catalyst for more to follow.”
