A MOTORCYCLIST is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Clacton yesterday night.
Emergency services were called to the accident in West Road just after 6pm.
The ambulance and police attended the scene opposite the airfield.
The victim - a man in his 30s - was travelling towards Jaywick when his bike left the road and hit a lamp post.
Police said he suffered multiple serious injuries which are described as "life-changing".
He was flown to hospital by air ambulance for treatment.
No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.
Anyone with any information or who witnessed the crash is urged to contact the Stanway road policing unit on 101.
