A RISQUE comedy music video shot in Walton and Frinton has received its first airplay on US radio.

The tongue-in-cheek track was penned and recorded by Mark Trayhorn, 46, who filmed the video locally with pals.

Mark admits its double entendres have been written to raise a "naughty smile", which means its subject matter is a bit too rude for a family newspaper.

But the comedy song and video has been been seen more than 1,500 times since he put it on YouTube and is receiving enthusiastic feedback from viewers.

"It's all filmed locally in Walton and Frinton and used a local business too," said Mark, who ran the Singing Kettle in Walton High Street for eight years.

"All the people in the video and the guy who filmed it are local too.

"People have put it on the local Facebook forums and it's gone down really well and brings a naughty smile, which is what it's meant to do.

"The subject of the song tells you exactly what it's about and the video runs along using a play on words."

Happy Hour Radio in the US agreed to become the first station to broadcast the reggae-style song, which features Kayleigh Brooks on female vocals.

It also stars Lori Angelo, Rhys Morgan and Pat Pheasy.

Mark said: "I've always loved music and I'm trying to do something a little different.

"I love comedy writing anyway and I'm lucky because I've done music all my life. I can do hip-hop, R&B and dance, but I've also got a bit of a wicked sense of humour and wanted to combine the two.

"The radio station wants to do another interview. I'm writing another song and they are itching to get that."

Part of the video was shot at Frinton's Crescent Gardens.

"We picked it because there was no one there," said Mark.

"We got everything set up and then saw this poor woman sitting there reading.

"She must have thought it was a beautiful day to pop into the park with a book ... and then we all turned up."

He added: "We had a lot of fun doing it. I just wanted to give comedy a different spin and now everyone who hears it is singing it."
