A HUGE convoy of motorcycles escorted a popular biker to his final resting place.
Christopher 'Wally' Walton lost his battle against cancer on December 28.
Hundreds of pals from all over the country turned out for his funeral on Friday.
Bikes and trikes set off from Clacton for dad-of-seven Wally's final journey to Weeley Crematorium.
Son Elliot rode his father's first road bike - a 1978 Suzuki 750 - at the head of the convoy.
It was the machine's first outing in nine years.
Wally, who lived in Weeley, had worked as a carpenter and on Clacton Pier.
He also launched the Fossils biker cafe and shop on St Osyth Road, and ran the family-friendly We Can't Dance motorcycle club, riding a 1400 custom 'chop'.
Pal Alan Turner had known Wally for more than 15 years.
"He was known all over the country," he said.
"He'd been a biker all his life and went to rallies all over. People are coming from as far afield as Scotland.
"We've got in excess of 500 bikes coming - you're never going to see anything like this again."
