FIREFIGHTERS had to cut free two drivers following a collision on the outskirts of Clacton.

The two-car smash happened on the St John's Road roundabout earlier this afternoon.

Cutting equipment was used to release both casualties, who are believed to be in their 60s.

Both were given oxygen therapy and treated by the ambulance service just after 12.30pm.

Traffic was disrupted by the accident but was running normally again by 1.30pm.
