MOTORiSTS faced traffic misery after a series of crashes and problems on the A12 and A120.

The Essex Traffic Centre reported a car lost control on the A12 between Eight Ash Green and Marks Tey on the southbound carriageway shortly after 6am.

And a car and a lorry collided on the A120 Marks Farm Roundabout partially blocking the busy roundabout.

Both incidents have since been cleared but traffic remains a problem in wet and difficult conditions.

There is also very slow moving traffic around Colchester on the A12 from the Ardleigh interchange to Eight Ash Green on the southbound carriageway.

Standing water and the spray resulting is making conditions difficult and driving slow.
