A MAN had to be cut from his car after a smash near the Morrisons supermarket in Little Clacton.
The crash between two cars happened at about 3pm in Centenary Way.
Firefighters were called to release one of the drivers from the wreckage using specialist cutting gear, while two ambulances and a rescue helicopter were also called to the scene.
The man who was cut from his car suffered serious injuries to his legs and chest.
He was airlifted to Royal London Hospital for more treatment.
Two other men suffered minor back injuries but were out of their vehicles and walking when the paramedics arrived.
