AN outstanding-rated nursery has been given the green light to revamp a building for a new branch.

Owners of the Chase Nursery in Holland-on-Sea plan to open a third branch for youngsters in Clacton.

They want to create the new nursery using Gospel Hall community building in Cambridge Road as its base, but need to upgrade the building first.

Tendring Council has now granted permission for the refurbishment to take place.

It will include installing cladding to the walls, railings and a lean-to structure for youngsters to use during outdoor playtime. The Chase bosses have already upgraded the interior of the hall and want to open the new branch for children soon.

Some conditions have been attached to the planning approval and Tendring Council will have to approve the location and design of the lean-to, as well as the materials to be used, before work can take place.
