A HIGH street bank in Clacton has been told to remove some of its newly-installed signs and lighting.

NatWest Bank, in Station Road, put up the advertisements on its building fronting onto the town square.

The move came after Tendring Council refused consent for the advertising earlier this year.

A Government Planning Inspector dismissed the appeal for three NatWest fascia signs and sets of high internally illuminated lettering and logos.

However, he did agree two slightly smaller projecting signs and a cash machine surround can stay.
